The famous personality, whose birth name was Oscar Fingal O’Flahertie Wills Wilde, was born on 16 October 1854 in Dublin as the second child of his family. His father was William Wilde, one of the famous doctors of his time, and his mother was Jane Francesca Elgee, a successful writer famous for her revolutionary poetry.[17/10 18:24] derya: Oscar Wilde, who has 5 siblings, three of which are illegitimate, was educated at home by private French governesses until the age of 9. While here, Wilde focused on Ancient Greece and Rome and adopted hedonism under the influence of John Ruskin and Walter Pater, one of the famous aesthetists of the period. In this period, Wilde, who drew attention with his ideas on the aesthetic movement, extended his hair and made disparaging comments about masculine sports. Wilde, who started working as an art critic after graduating from Magdalen College in 1878, settled in London in 1879. And the biggest factor in her leaving Dublin was that she was rejected by Florance Balcomb, whom she fell in love with, and married Bram Stroker.
