The world is in a struggle against the reality of Covid-19. All health care providers, security officers, people who work in other sectors continue to do their jobs for our safety. We are trying to help them with staying at home during this process. In this period when we are adversely affected both mentally and physically in many discourses emerge against the virus. Especially when we look at it from the perspective of religion, every religion’s book or legends offers an opinion towards the current situation. Besides religions such as Christianity, Judaism, and Buddhism, there are many discourses. Baba Vanga is one of them. So how does the Holy Quran explain this situation? It’s well known as the main book of Islam. I hope mental depressions will replace the peace with these ayats that will mention.
” You will surely be tested in your possessions and yourselves. But if you are patient and fear Allah – indeed, that is of the matters (worthy) of determination.”
Ali’Imran | 186
“And We will surely test you with something of fear and hunger and a loss of wealth and lives and fruits, but give good tidings to the patient.”
Baqarah | 155
The world has been home to various human races and tribes since its existence. Like this situation that we are experiencing today, they undoubtedly survived by struggling with many difficulties. As mentioned in the ayat, some of them tested with their asset and health. When we look at the picture from a general perspective, today’s event is not a new situation in human history. Since human beings exist, It has been able to bring its progress to the present by struggling with different events. Recently, similar diseases such as the Spanish flu and Ebola virus before Covid-19 can give an example of this situation. Islam prepared the people psychologically against this situation. Muslims will take the exam from their goods and health that God has given to them as Jews and Christians who have given books before.
” Every soul will taste death. And We test you with evil and with good as a trial, and to Us, you will be returned.”

” And it is not [possible] for one to die except by permission of Allah at a decree determined.”
Ali’Imran | 145
According to Islam, nobody can live in a period like neither in bed nor the enemy attack. People will not die before the time set by God and without His permission. The life of a person consists of a timeframe whose limits are determined and appreciated by Allah.
However, it doesn’t mean that in such critical situations such as Covid-19, a Muslim can only live in the light of these ayats without taking precautions. No. The Muslim has responsibilities towards the community and has to adapt there and take precautions. Muslims should do the necessary by taking into account the explanations and warnings. Then, by feeling a surrender in line with these ayats, we can relax and contribute to her inner peace.
”And indeed, we are a cautious society… “
