I will recommend a movie with a different and absolutely remarkable topic that you can watch with your friend or your partner. Oslo Pictures’ new movie “Sick of Myself” is the focus of this article. The movie, directed by Kristoffer Borgli, which received a great deal of attention at Cannes, focuses a lot on narcissism, masochism and comedy. As for the plot of the movie, we observe an extremely selfish couple. It is an exaggerated Norwegian film with dark humor about the life of a couple who are constantly in competition, trying to sabotage each other (both of them are determined to do so).

Sick of Myself Movie Plot
The attention-seeking Signe (Kristine Kujath Thorp) has a toxic relationship with her equally selfish lover Thomas (Erik Sæther). The apparently harmonious couple gradually develops a sickly inner state of mind. Imagine Thomas making his art with stolen products and losing the attention to his lover, Signe uses a banned drug to get a skin disease that will suddenly turn the whole course upside down. If you expect her to regret and quit, you are very mistaken because Signe has already lost her grip.
You Will Say No More
In the following scenes of the movie, you will say “No way”. Because Signe will not stop even if she is unrecognizable, bandaged and her quality of life is reduced to zero. She will ask for more to get attention. In the meantime, Thomas, who has lost the attention to Signe, is a little bit upset. How crazy does that sound, doesn’t it?
In a bus scene, we see Signe returning home with her lover, bandaged and unrecognizable. Signe is happy to get everyone’s attention, Thomas hugs Signe at that moment and is happy in front of the
People who are looking at him, pretending to be a good lover. The group of friends who realize the situation are gradually distancing themselves from this psychopathic couple.
“There are two very intriguing stories going on here; one is an irreverent skit on society, the media, and the celebrity of victimhood, the other is a tender portrait of a sad, lonely woman who’ll do anything to feel seen. But there’s a yawning gap in the middle — and it’s the sense of what’s missing here that lingers, not what’s there.”
Once you watch this movie, believe me, you will be hesitant to tell people about your problems. Especially if you watched it with your partner, after a while, when you tell each other “I’m sick” or “something like this happened to me”, it looks like one of the scenes in the movie and you start laughing. It’s a weird situation.
